After a week of worry, quarterback Eli Manning started for the New York Giants against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

The start was the 83rd consecutive for Manning, dating to the middle of the 2004 season. Manning hurt his right heel last weekend in a win over Kansas City and missed two of the Giants' three practices.
