As the firearm deer season comes to a close in Michigan, a DNR biologist said there were fewer killed deer in Allegan and Barry counties this year.John Lerg, a wildlife biologist who tracks those counties, told 24 Hour News 8 deer kills are down about 5% in these two counties, and added hunters saw more success in the southern portion of the state.
