Calgary Flames right wing Jarome Iginla, Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin and Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin are the three finalists for the Hart Trophy that is awarded to the NHL's most valuable player.

Iginla, a Hart Trophy finalist for the third time, had 50 goals and 48 assists to rank third in the NHL in both categories.

It was the second time he had reached the 50-goal mark, and the 98 points were a career best. Malkin and Ovechkin both are first-time Hart finalists.

- Owen Nolan scored the game-winning goal with 3:45 left in the third period as the Calgary Flames overcame a disastrous start Sunday night to come from behind for a dramatic 4-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Calgary took a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference opening round series with the win.

Game 4 is Tuesday at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

19-year-old Flames draft pick dies after collapsing

Mickey Renaud, a center with the junior league Windsor Spitfires, died Monday after collapsing at his home in Tecumseh, the team said.

Renaud was 19. Renaud, a fifth-round draft pick by the NHL's Calgary Flames, was taken to a hospital with no vital signs and attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful, team physician Dr.

Roy Diklich said. Renaud was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Windsor Regional Hospital, the Ontario Hockey League team said on its Web site.
