Roethlisberger has 'shot' to face Browns (AP)

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin believes injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and center Maurkice Pouncey both have "a shot" to play in Sunday's regular season finale at Cleveland.

"It is our intention right now that if those guys are healthy enough to practice and prepare, then we will play them," Tomlin said Tuesday.

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is not ruling out Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey for the Super Bowl despite the rookie walking on crutches with a high ankle sprain.

Pouncey injured his left ankle in the Steelers' victory over the New York Jets in the AFC championship last Sunday.

He did not practice last week, and Tomlin says Monday the Steelers are being "very aggressive"...

Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin vowed to unleash hell on his opponents in December. After losing, at home no less, to the pitiful Oakland Raiders, he is unleashing a little hell on his starting lineup.

The Steelers are suffering through their longest losing streak since 2003 when they lost five games in a row.

The current Steelers losing streak stands at 4, and two of those loses are ugly loses to the Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Since the Cincinnati Bengals swept their AFC North Divisional games, the Steelers are amongst a crowded field to make the 2009 NFL playoffs.


 

Big Ben has concussion, expected to play (AP)

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a concussion, but is expected to play Sunday at Baltimore as long as he continues to pass the daily tests given to players who have sustained the injury.

Coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he plans to go into the game with Roethlisberger and second-year player Dennis Dixon as his only quarterbacks.
