How many more Detroit Lions fans jumped off the bandwagon after the Detroit Lions lost to the Atlanta Falcons?

It was the second straight home loss by this team and it conjures up memories of the 2007 Detroit Lions who also started the season 5-2 just to flush it all down the toilet in the second half of the season and wind up 7-9.

Detroit Lions fans want to believe that finally this team is on the right path. That the darkness of t he Matt Millen regime is gone, and this team will start to become a legitimate NFL tam once more.

While it seems that this may actually be the case, it is not happening fast enough for the people. They fail to realize how devoid of talent this team actually is.

Eight years of Matt Millen making jackass decisions has left the Lions roster looking like a team about to compete in the UFL.

All that, and owner William Clay Ford is lurking in the darkness to mess it all up all over again.


 

Stafford to sit, Culpepper to start versus the Ravens

On one hand Detroit Lions fans will be happy that Rookie QB Matthew Stafford will sit, and not have to face the Baltimore Ravens defense.

On the other hand it seems that many Lions fans are upset that Daunte Culpepper will get the start over QB Drew Stanton.

Let's face it at 1-11 the Cleveland Browns are irrelevant to December NFL games. For the Browns the season is over, and much like Detroit Lions fans Cleveland fans are turning their attention towards the NFL draft.

Of course two big questions will have to be answered by the Browns before draft day, one will Eric Mangini be the coach, and two do they need to draft a QB?


 

Lions score pre-season win

After going 0-16 in 2008 and 0-17 overall, Detroit Lions fans will take a victory anyway they can get one. Of course that has to be tempered with the fact that the Lions did go 4-0 in the 2008 pre-season.
