The Indianapolis Colts have hired Eagles executive Ryan Grigson as their new general manager. The team announced the hiring Wednesday.

The 40-year-old Grigson has spent the past nine years with Philadelphia, where he was named director of player personnel in 2010 after four years as college scouting director.

Eagles chairman Jeffrey Lurie says coach Andy Reid will return for his 14th season in Philadelphia, though he left open the possibility for changes on the coaching staff.

Lurie called this 8-8 season the "most disappointing" of his ownership. He also used words like "dismal," "unfathomable," "ludicrous," and "terrible" to describe it.
