The Orlando Magic acquired troubled guard Gilbert Arenas from the Washington Wizards and Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson from the Phoenix Suns in a major roster shakeup Saturday.

Orlando traded forward Rashard Lewis for Arenas, then sent Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus and backup center Marcin Gortat to Phoenix.

TORONTO (AP) -- The Toronto Raptors confirmed their acquisition of forward Hedo Turkoglu on Thursday, perhaps the most significant free agent addition in the team's history.

Free agent Hedo Turkoglu will join the Toronto Raptors after spurning the Portland Trail Blazers, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-10 forward helped Orlando to the NBA finals last season. On Friday, a person close to the Blazers confirmed that Turkoglu ended contract talks with them.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the negotiations.

Hedo Turkoglu reportedly agreed to join the Portland Trail Blazers after helping Orlando reach the NBA finals this season.

ESPN.com on Friday cited unidentified sources and did not disclose terms. Turkoglu's agent, Lon Babby, did not immediately return calls or e-mails.

Portland cannot comment on the agreement until Wednesday, when teams may sign free agents.

Hedo Turkoglu's run with the Orlando Magic appears to be over. A day after the Magic acquired Vince Carter from the New Jersey Nets, Turkoglu's agent said Friday that he sent a notice to Orlando earlier this week that his client will opt out of his contract to become a free agent.
