Basketbrawl: Malice in the Palace Part II

July 23, 2008 - A melee at The Palace of Auburn Hills - also the site of the infamous brawl between the Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers and fans in 2004 - broke out Tuesday night with 4.6 seconds left in a WNBA between the Detroit Shock the Los Angeles Sparks.

The game turned heated after a collision between LA's Candace Parker and Detroit's Plenette Pierson turned into a shoving match....

The WNBA is watching replays of the skirmish involving the Detroit Shock, Los Angeles Sparks and former Pistons Bad Boy Rick Mahorn.

Reports: O'Neal deal to Raptors not done yet

The Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers have agreed to a blockbuster trade the day before the draft. Multiple media outlets are reporting that Jermaine O'Neal was dealt to the Raptors for point guard T.J.

Ford, center Rasho Nesterovic and the No. 17 overall pick. The Pacers also have the No. 11 pick in the draft.

Walsh hired as Knicks prez, will wait on Isiah decision

Donnie Walsh is the new president of the New York Knicks, and he says he'll wait a few days before deciding on Isiah Thomas' future with the organization.

The Knicks hired the longtime Indiana Pacers executive Wednesday. The New Yorker was given complete power to oversee basketball operations of a team finishing its seventh straight losing season.

New York never won a playoff game under Thomas, its president since December 2003. He became coach in June 2006.
