Michael Vick wants equal treatment. Vick blasted the officials after a hard hit from Chris Canty left him with a broken right hand in the Eagles' 29-16 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.

Vick's status for next week's game against San Francisco is uncertain. He started against the Giants despite suffering a concussion in a loss to Atlanta last Sunday.


 

Haynesworth, Hernandez out for Patriots (AP)

The New England Patriots are without three starters on defense -- defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, safety Patrick Chung, and rookie starting cornerback Ras-I Dowling -- in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Haynesworth has a bad back, Chung injured his thumb in last Sunday's win against San Diego, and Dowling has a hip injury.


 

Suspensions for dangerous hits begin now (AP)

The NFL will immediately begin suspending players for dangerous and flagrant hits that violate rules, particularly those involving helmets.

Suspensions will be in place for this weekend's games and could be handed out for hits that took place last Sunday, vice president of football operations Ray Anderson said Tuesday.


 

Ochocinco fined 30k for touchdown celebration

After scoring a TD against the Detroit Lions last Sunday, Chad Ochocinco headed to the bench where he dawned a poncho and a sombrero in what was he latest attempts to be funny, be the star, or whatever other need drivers this man to do the things that he does.

The NFL on Wednesday fined Chad 30 grand for the incident. The 30k number was 10k more than the NF fined him earlier this year when Chad faked bribing an official in another of his now infamous TD celebrations.

What can we say about a one sided loss on national TV? Last Sunday everyone in Detroit was ready to pronounce rookie QB Matthew Stafford as the next John Elway.

Yesterday he looked like the next Jay Cutler more than anything else. The more and more we see Stafford play the more and more we realize that he looks like a QB who is always going to throw as many Interceptions and he does touchdowns.


 

Ochocinco fined $20,000 for $1 'bribe' (AP)

Chad Ochocinco's pretend $1 bribe is going to cost him a lot more. The Cincinnati Bengals receiver was fined $20,000 and reprimanded by the NFL for taking a dollar bill onto the field during an officials' review of one of his catches last Sunday.

Ochocinco held the dollar in his right hand at his side but didn't give it to the official, who motioned for him to stay away.


 

McNabb misses practice again; QB roles up in air
