Michael Phelps will put his $1 million bonus to good use, announcing plans to start a foundation promoting water safety and youth swimming.

Joe Gromek, president and CEO of Warnaco, Speedo's U.S. parent company, presented a check to Phelps on NBC's "Today" show Tuesday.

The company, which has sponsored Phelps since he was 16, promised him a $1 million bonus if he tied or broke Mark Spitz's record...

Usain Bolt has until then to choreograph a touchdown dance that IOC president Jacques Rogge finds acceptable, as far as many American (and plenty global) sports fans are concerned.

Analyzing Phelps' final race: the 400 medley relay

The U.S. 4x100-meter medley relay team is a favorite for gold on Sunday (Saturday night East coast time).

That would give Michael Phelps a record eight gold medals at the Beijing Games. The team from Australia will probably provide the U.S. with its stiffest competition in the race.

Although neither team has finalized its final quartet, these are the likely relay swimmers for the medley final and a scouting report as to how the race may evolve ...

Well, there's always 48 Hours Mystery on CBS, and ABC appears to be showing another can't-miss episode of Eli Stone.

Of course, if you're reading this, it's a safe bet you'll be watching the Michael Phelps coronation.
