The Matt Millen mock draft

Topix - Sports News  Tue, 04/20/2010 - 17:23

Matt Millen may be the most hated figure in all of Detroit Sports history, and one of the most clueless individuals to ever run an NFL franchise.

He made a rare apperance on radio yesterday talking about the Detroit Lions decision to trade LB Ernie Sims, a player he selected with the 9th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Just how dumb is Al Davis anyways?

Topix - Sports News  Wed, 01/13/2010 - 23:57

Sometimes it really amazes me how far people can self delude themselves. Sure at one time Al Davis was a football genius, sure at one time the Oakland Raiders were the model NFL Franchise, and they are still an elite franchise.

However AL Davis' time in this league is now at an end. Not because we want to see him gone, but because it is just time.

Davis has just lost it, and his team suffers from poor decision making. Trust me I live in Detroit I have a PHD in poor football related decisions.

For the Lions 2010 draft, it is Suh or bust

Topix - Sports News  Tue, 12/15/2009 - 19:38

For the Detroit Lions to get any better, as a legitimate NFL franchise, they must draft a guy in 2010 for which they can build their defense around.

As most Draft experts will predict that guy is one Ndamukong Suh. At present the Lions will have the fourth pick in the 2010 draft, and instead of settling for the second or third best DT, they must make a concentrated effort to draft Suh.

NFL to hold more games in Great Britian

Topix - Sports News  Sat, 10/24/2009 - 22:43

London is calling, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is listening. Tomorrow, for the third year in a row, the NFL will hold a game at London's Wembley Stadium.

The New England Patriots will take to the field in Wembley to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wembley stadium sits around 90,000 fans, and the place will be packed for tomorrow's game.

This has led the NFL to plan for staging more games in the UK, and possibly even placing a NFL franchise there one day.

The NFL is looking at venues in Manchester, and Glasgow, Scotland as the sites for future games.
