An experienced Canadian skydiver who crashed into a runway at the DeLand Municipal Airport has died.
Officials at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach say 24-year-old Mia Prebinski died at about 11 a.m.
Friday.
A fellow skydiver told police that Prebinski's parachute opened successfully and the jump was normal until she tried to land Thursday.
He told authorities she was too low to the ground when she tried to slow her descent.
