A police spokesman says detectives want to interview Kobe Bryant after a man claimed he was injured by the Los Angeles Lakers star during a confrontation at a church.

Police say Bryant apparently thought the man was taking his picture with a cell phone at a Carmel Valley church on Sunday.

Bryant reportedly took the phone from the man but saw no pictures on it, then left the church.

Police spokesman Egon Voegel told national broadcaster ORF on Saturday that 30 rescue workers are searching for the rafters on the Bregenzerach River in Austria's most western province of Vorarlberg.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Vicente Padilla accidentally shot himself in the leg in Nicaragua. Dr. Eduardo Reguera said Padilla didn't need surgery after spending time at Managua's Metropolitan Hospital.

Police spokesman Vilma Reyes said Wednesday that Padilla's pistol apparently jammed during a target shooting session late Tuesday.

Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino filed a police report Thursday, a day after getting doused with beer while making a catch at Wrigley Field.
