Report: Microsoft CEO to make bid for Sonics

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is among the local investors involved in an effort to buy the Sonics and cover some of the cost of a $300 million KeyArena expansion to try to keep the team in Seattle, the Seattle Times reported Wednesday.
