Serena Williams has withdrawn from the WTA Tour's season-ending event with a stomach injury. Williams pulled out shortly before her scheduled round-robin match Friday against Elena Dementieva at the Sony Ericsson Championships.
Dementieva advanced to the semifinals. Williams lost to her sister, Venus, 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 Thursday.
