Shortly after the Bruins arrived at Rogers Arena Wednesday afternoon, injured Boston winger Nathan Horton walked out of the tunnel with a water bottle in hand.

On the bench, he glanced to his left, to his right, and surreptitiously squeezed the contents of the bottle onto the Vancouver ice.

Every last drop, because if there was something in the water in Boston, where the Bruins thumped the Canucks into submission and outscored them 17-3 in three games, then maybe they could use it on the road.

For the first time since '72, the Stanley Cup belongs to Boston. Patrice Bergeron scored two goals, Tim Thomas stopped all 37 shots and the Bruins finished the Canucks 4-0 in Game 7.

It was a short night for Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo. Luongo was pulled after allowing three quick goals in the first period Monday of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final against the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins held one final practice in Boston on Monday before departing for Vancouver and their first Stanley Cup final appearance since 1990.
