Texas quarterback Colt McCoy has been injured on the Longhorns' first drive of the BCS championship game and was taken to the locker room for further examination.
Team officials did not immediately have any details, but trainers appeared to be examining his right arm, which is his passing arm.
McCoy kept the ball on an option to his left and was tackled for no gain.
