Ben Curtis played the front side at 7 over to plummet off the leaderboard, first-round leader Miguel Angel Jimenez nearly whiffed on a shot and Turnberry showed its teeth Friday, a striking change from the pristine conditions that rendered the course defenseless a day earlier.
